Description
The Charlemagne subterranean transit system has a number of surface terminus stations for space transports to haul Tarydium ore off-world. Most of these stations are built and operated by a single mining guild, but the Scipio terminal was a rare example of cooperative initiative between two allied guilds. Like many alliances, however, this one had a short lifespan. Within months of becoming fully operational, professional jealousies swelled and the terminal became the site of they type of armed conflict so often associated with temperamental space miners. Energy weapons are freely available but due to the nature of operations at the terminal, high-powered weapons are not as plentiful as they tend to be in the deeper mines. Of course, enterprising combatants still know how to lay their hands on the occasional Redeemer!
