Description

The vast, rolling plains of Taiku were chosen as the optimal site for construction of the teeming transport depot that would come to be called Gilgamesh. Tarydium ore from throughout the galaxy would one day be transported to this massive facility, but that facility would first need to be constructed. Low hills provided vantage points during the contentious construction process, while deep calderas afforded cover and access to energy shielding and health augmentation. The revolutionary twin-redundant power networks, which would become the hallmark of the Gilgamesh facility, had the unintended side-effect of potentially rendering both power cores at the same time. This design flaw was repeatedly exploited by environmentalist rebels who sought to prevent completion of the facility.
